• Founded non profit NGO with my wife to help solve problems caused by poverty.
• Provides medical care, education and clothing for poor children. for all caste

Career in Thangka painting:
Teacher of thangka painting, Gangtok, India 1995-present
• Began teaching in 1995 upon my teacher’s orders.
• I have taught 11 students, each studied with me for four to five years.
• I instruct American students from Naropa University, Boulder.USA twice a year.
Thangka Paintings 1986-present
• Painted 14 Thangkas for His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, one of each incarnation
separately for two years.
• In India, I have painted in many places, such as Darjeeling, South India and Gangtok.
• Painted for the Royal family of Sikkim and still painting.
• Outside of India, I have painted in Bhutan, Nepal and Munich (Germany) and USA.
• To date, I have painted many Thangkas of varying size.
Education:
I studied at Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre Darjeeling India from 1963-66 and Central School for Tibetans Darjeeling, India from1967-77Private Thangka Lessons 1974-86
• Studied Thangka from 1974-80 in private lessons with the Late Venerable Ngawang
Norbu (1903-1996) Darjeeling
• 1980-86, Studied and practiced with my Teacher at Gyudmed Tantric Monastery,
Mysore, South India.
• Painted the 41 Thangkas of Past lives of Buddha Shakyamuni ( Ze-Gya Pak-Sam Thri-
Shing ) for the Monastery from 1984-86. and many other Thangkas for Tibetan Monasteries and Rinpoches in exile.
